Terms & Conditions
(We = Dannah Farm Country House Ltd.)
Accommodation rates. Prices quoted are per room per night at the occupancy level declared when making the booking. The price includes full English farmhouse breakfast and VAT at the current rate. We reserve the right to review and alter prices at any time.
Occupancy level. The number of occupants must be declared at the time of booking. The rooms are only suitable for the occupancy levels selectable at the time of booking. Any non pre-arranged additional occupancy will be charged at up to £50 per person against the credit/debit card held to cover the booking.
Deposits. A non-refundable deposit will confirm accommodation booked.
Check-in is from 4.30pm on the day of arrival. At Dannah we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of or rooms and facilities. As such the rooms can take a considerable time to be bought up to standard between guests.
An early check in of 3pm can be selected at the time of booking. However, due to the additional staff requirements the early check in is subject to a £25 additional charge.
Check-out is by 11.00am on the day of departure. This is to ensure that all is in order for our next guests.
For guests staying in the Hay Loft Suite, you will have unlimited and exclusive use of the spa cabin until 9.30am on the morning of check-out.
Health & safety. Guests are reminded that we are situated on a working farm and safety is paramount. Care should be taken to supervise all children whilst out and about in the grounds, on the farm and in the surrounding countryside. Please follow the Countryside Code, keep to the footpaths and please close any gates you go through.
Accessibility. We are committed to doing all we can to make our accommodation accessible to all, although the buildings are centuries old and can be impossible to adapt safely. If you have additional needs or special requirements, we will be very happy to discuss these with you.
Parking. We have ample, safe on-site parking, but this is at owners’ risk, (car and contents).
Damages. We reserve the right to charge for breakages, damages and/or excessive cleaning against the card held for payment. Persons making the booking will be held responsible for any damages.
Broken Glass in and around hot tubs. We provide acrylic drinkware for use in and around our hot tub areas. Broken glass in and around the hot tub is very dangerous. For your own safety and the safety of others, guests MUST NOT take glass drinkware outside. We reserve the right to charge for additional clan up and or loss of earnings as a result of glass breakages in the proximity of our outdoor hot tubs. Persons making the booking will be held responsible for resultant additional charges.
Fires and/or Disposable BBQs. Guests are not permitted to light fires or use disposable BBQs at Dannah Farm Country House. Guests will be charged for any additional cleaning required or losses caused as a result of guests lighting fires and/or using disposable BBQs at Dannah Farm Country House.
Smoking. Guests are not allowed to smoke anywhere indoors, including the guest bedrooms and suites. As accommodation providers we could be fined up to £2500 if we fail to enforce the smoke-free laws, therefore, regrettably, anyone found to be smoking indoors will be liable to a cleaning charge of up to £250, payable against the credit card held to cover the booking. Smoking is allowed outside in the gardens and grounds.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us and confirmed in writing.
A non-refundable deposit is required before bookings are confirmed. The balancing payment is due two weeks prior to arrival. This will be automatically taken from the card details provided on booking unless we are contacted prior to this date and an alternative means of payment is provided. Bookings may be cancelled up to two weeks prior to arrival, but the deposit will be forfeit. Where a booking is cancelled within two weeks of the due date for arrival the full amount will be forfeit. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
We would strongly advise that guests take out a travel insurance policy which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Covid Refund Guarantee. The FULL amount of any monies paid will be re-funded in the event of a National Lockdown situation where the date of stay is included. This guarantee would ONLY cover a full National Lockdown situation, and/or the address ON THE BOOKING FORM being placed in a Tier by the government which had a “Do Not Travel” restriction placed on it. This guarantee would NOT cover guests for falling ill with Covid (or any other illness), for a requirement to self-isolate or quarantine, or for a Track&Trace alert preventing them from travelling. These situations can all be covered by the guest taking out suitable travel insurance. There are several travel insurance policies which include cover for COVID- related cancellation and we strongly recommend guests take out this type of travel insurance. Dannah Farm is not selling, promoting, endorsing or recommending any particular product, and does not benefit financially from, or have any formal relationship with, any of these providers.

Alternatively suitable cover can be found on comparison sites such as www.gocompare.com
If guests choose not to take out travel insurance they accept responsibility for any losses incurred due to the cancellation.
MasterCancel. Bookings placed between 19/09/2020 and 08/01/2021 have Cancellation Protection under the Master Cancel Policy, if cancelled between 60 days and 2 days prior to arrival. For booking placed during this timeframe, guests will receive a full refund of the lodging costs paid. Only lodging costs are refunded. Additional extras, including but not limited to cleaning fees, tax and other ancillary charges are not refunded. Refund payment for cancelled bookings will be released back to the cancelling guest within 2 weeks of cancellation. Cancellations made 1 day prior to, or on the day of check in will not be eligible for a refund. For example: for a check-in on Saturday you could cancel the prior Thursday (in writing) before 16.00 and be reimbursed in full, but not on Friday (one day prior) or Saturday (day of check in).
Circumstances on site beyond the control of the owner. If for any reason we have to cancel your booking in advance due to circumstances beyond our control at our site – for example, fire, flood, or destruction/damage to the property – then we will at our sole discretion offer you alternative dates or a full value voucher. If we have to terminate your holiday early for the above reasons you will be credited part of the booking fee value based on the time remaining of the booking. This will be the full extent of the liability of the owners. No additional compensation, expenses or costs will be payable.
Force Majeure. Other than holidays covered by the Cancellation Protection conditions above we DO NOT cover you for your holiday being unavailable due to natural disasters, terror attacks, acts of war, hijacking, riots, incidents of civil unrest, pandemics, epidemics, or general restrictions on movement imposed by local or national Government, which may prevent you from taking your holiday. We would strongly advise that guests take out a travel insurance policy which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates, and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
